LDAP connections give you access to your company’s organization, individual, and network data.

Source Setup

You will need access to a LDAP server in order to set up a new connection with Etleap.

What Data is Available?

Data ingested from your LDAP server is generated dynamically. Etleap will load all LDAP entries and their attributes from the related directory structure. Etleap uses Replace mode for all LDAP’s entities.

LDAP Virtual List View (VLV)

LDAP Virtual List View (VLV) connections give you access to your company’s organization, individual, and network data from Active Directory.

Source Setup

1. You will need access to a LDAP server that includes the Virtual List View feature  in order to set up a new connection with Etleap.

2. Etleap uses the Sort Order field to search data from LDAP. Before you can set up a connection, please ensure a VLV index in your LDAP server matches the following connection properties:

• Base DN
• Scope
• Filter
• Sort Order

The VLV index needs to have the same columns and sorting methods (ascending or descending) as specified in the Etleap connection properties because searching for data using only a subset of columns in a VLV index is not possible.
